Kings of the Sevens

Langholm 7s | 28 April 2018

Milntown, Langholm

Although Langholm was the first club formed in the Borders they did not hold their own Sevens until some time after the first tournament was held at Melrose in 1882. The first Sevens or Sports as they were then known were held on 1st May 1908 and were attended by six Border teams with Gala winning. Langholm won the trophy in 1959 and the tournament celebrated its centenary in 2008.

The Langholm Sevens opts for a traditional 16 team knockout competition contested by teams from both sides of the border with the goal to lift the Scott Cup.
